This auction catalog is a "must have" for any sampler and/or needlework enthusiast. Joan Stevens was a dear friend of Betty Ring, and in the forward Betty talks about their friendship and her admiration for Joan. The catalog is an excellent source of information for collectors & scholars. It contains gorgeous color and black & white photographs and detailed descriptions of over 100 items including samplers, needlework tools, & related items that were treasures of Joan Stevens. Joan collected these items over 20 years until her passing in 1995.

It is an awe inspiring collection of needlework & needlework tools and a wonderful tribute to the woman who collected and treasured them.
